Job Description

Key Accountabilities

  • Post multicurrency financing transactions from the Treasury Management System, Quantum into SAP accurately and on a timely basis.
  • Assist in the period end and year end accounts close processes, including the posting of interest accruals, fair value adjustments, hedge accounting and preparation of related reconciliations; ensuring that all transactions are recorded accurately and in compliance with Group Accounting Policies.
  • Prepare reconciliations to ensure all transactions have been correctly recorded on SAP.
  • Monitor Treasury activity on a daily basis to ensure compliance with the TfL Board approved Treasury Management Policy and Annual Treasury Management Strategy and the Prudential Indicators at all times.
  • Assist in the preparation of forecasting and planning activities for Budgets and Business Plans to reflect Group Treasury strategies
  • Support the Senior Treasury Accounting Manager in the provision of robust and timely financial management reporting to internal and external stakeholders

  • Qualified or studying towards a professional qualification i.e. ACCA (Desirable)
  • Strong double entry book-keeping understanding (Essential)
  • Excellent ability to analyse and interpret financial information (Essential)
  • Knowledge of SAP (Desirable)
  • Knowledge of Treasury Management System, Quantum (Desirable)
  • Excellent spreadsheet skills – formulas/pivot tables etc (Essential)
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills (Essential)

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Experience of accounting for treasury transactions including foreign currency derivatives. (Essential) Experience of double entry and month end reporting (Essential) Experience of working in the Group Finance function of a large organisation. (Desirable) Significant SAP and Quantum systems experience (Desirable)
