Senior Accountant / Manager , Sheffield £45,000 to £48,000 plus benefits

We are delighted to be working with a well-established firm of Chartered Accountants who are looking to recruit an experienced accountant to work as a manager and run a small team within their Sheffield office. You will already have a proven track record of working in an accountancy practice, and be ACA / ACCA qualified looking for the opportunity to manage a well-established varied client portfolio.

The Role
This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established firm with a broad base of clients from sole traders, partnerships and limited companies:

• You will cover a wide range of business sectors overseeing the delivery of accounting, audit as well as corporation tax returns and self assessment tax returns.
• Oversee and manage a team in terms of workloads, reviewing workloads and coaching and developing staff.
• Liaising directly with clients, dealing with any ad hoc queries and planning and providing tax advice

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Applications are welcomed from individuals who are ACA or ACCA qualified with a strong background in practice who are looking for the opportunity to manage a client portfolio and a small team of staff. This role would be ideal for someone with four or five years in practice looking to take the next step. • A strong background in tax advisory would be ideal although not essential • You will have strong IT skills and be comfortable with a wide range of accountancy packages including Xero and Sage • You will be a good communicator and be ambitious and looking to grow and develop your career in a modern forward thinking firm • Excellent firm with a dynamic fast growing client base going from strength to strength.
