Preparation and review of Sole Trader and Partnership accounts
Preparation and review of client’s VAT returns
Assisting clients with bookkeeping, VAT and general queries
Some supervision of more junior members of staff
Working with tax department to ensure tax returns are completed fully and on time
Ad hoc duties as required within the Non-Corporate department
Accounting software conversions
Possible monthly payroll
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
• Be AAT qualified • Have experience/knowledge of various accounting systems • VAT return preparation experience • Accounts preparation experience • Payroll experience (would be a bonus but not necessary) • Have the ability to communicate effectively with clients and staff at all levels • Be able to work both independently and as part of a team • Have experience of working in a practice environment • Be self-motivated and proactive
