Job Description

To liaise with our Manufacturing Sites and Supply Planning roles, in order maintain customer service, providing detailed weekly reports and communications regarding production segregation to outside storage facilities.

Key Accountabilities & Deliverables:

  • Attend meetings involving the management team and provide operational status updates to the Logistics Executive team. Monitor daily stock availability reports and provide replenishment advice to UB transport and 3rd party outside storage.
  • Monitor “days cover” within MDC to ensure manufactured production is directed in the correct location and customer service is maintained.
  • Review stock replenishment requirements at 3rd party storage locations
  • Monitor and manage batch ‘aged’ profiles across the supply chain to ensure minimal stocks write-off. Understand logistical constraints (UB transport and operations) to ensure capacities are not exceeded.
  • Understand the MDC operation to facilitate, support and advise when required.
  • Provide detailed analysis and advice on individual SKU storage requirements within the company network. Provide AOS reports (MDC only) for 3rd party customer KP.
  • Provide support an advice on the management of inbound KP storage within the company storage network.
  • Manage day-to-day 3PL operations providing support and guidance on operational issues.
  • Manage communication linkages internally within UB and external 3PL Warehouse providers
  • Maintain KPI packs for example part pallets, AOS conformance, costing, stock turn etc. on a weekly basis.
  • Provide analytical support for Logistics and business functions within UB.
  • Has the ability to make timely decisions and clearly communicate these to all relevant departments and suppliers.
  • Show a degree of astuteness to influence departments to achieve desired departmental and business objectives.
  • Provide support and advice for 3rd party satellite locations (Moss-end and Hillsborough).
  • Review financial costs and invoices, validate and authorize payment.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Industry experience: Distribution 1 - 2 years. Admin Support 1 - 2 years Inventory 1 - 2 years. Warehouse operations 1 - 2 years. IT Literate intermediate std., with key reference to Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Google and Excel. SAP, Warehouse Management System, Business Warehouse software packages Numerate and analytical Communication. Experience of working for an FMCG / Major Retail Companies. Industry experience: Sales 1 - 2 years Manufacturing 1 - 2 years.
