Rather than just 'turning the wheel’ it is hoped you will drive forward improvements in terms of processes, controls, reporting and systems.

You will have plenty of interaction with colleagues in finance, commercial and operational areas of the business and also link with colleagues at group level.

The remit will initially include: statutory accounting (subsids and consolidated), varied and detailed financial reporting, ad hoc analysis linked to various subsidiaries), developing and reviewing controls, review of reconciliations, forecasting, year end requirements, group reporting. You will also coach / mentor more junior members of the team.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

A qualified (ACCA or ACA) finance professional with experience as Financial Accountant / Management Accountant (or potentially making a 1st move from practice). someone who has high attention to detail and a keenness to really make a difference. a confident team player who will enjoy working with a range of colleagues across all areas of the group. able to bring out the best in others. comfortable in a fast paced continuous improvement environment.
