Being involved with opioid substitute treatment (OST) interventions benzodiazepine reductions, alcohol and opioid detoxifications and relapse prevention medications
Accurately assess the need of service users and prescribe and review medication for therapeutic effectiveness, appropriate to service user needs and in accordance with evidence-based practice and national and practice protocols, and within scope of practice
Working with service users in order to support compliance with and adherence to prescribed treatments
To provide evidenced based professional support and advice to the multi-disciplinary team
