Job Description

Responsibilities include:

• Leading on all aspects of clinical governance and quality assurance, including clinical audit, clinical effectiveness and patient safety.
• Taking a lead on service development.

• Being involved with opioid substitute treatment (OST) interventions benzodiazepine reductions, alcohol and opioid detoxifications and relapse prevention medications
• Accurately assess the need of service users and prescribe and review medication for therapeutic effectiveness, appropriate to service user needs and in accordance with evidence-based practice and national and practice protocols, and within scope of practice
• Working with service users in order to support compliance with and adherence to prescribed treatments
• To provide evidenced based professional support and advice to the multi-disciplinary team
• Exercise sound clinical leadership by example and instruction.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Relevant prescribing qualification NMC Registered Nurse, HCPC Registered Commitment to customer service (demonstrating, and promoting within the team, empathy with clients and the need to work collaboratively with them to understand and help to meet their needs).
