We are currently recruiting on behalf of a social housing organisation based in the East Midlands that is passionate about providing a first-class service to its customers.
They are looking for two Finance Managers for two full time posts with a quick start. The roles will be mainly based at home with occasional visits to the office. Duties of both roles are below:
Finance Manager (Financial Accounts)
Prepare statutory financial statements for the organisation and its subsidiaries
Prepare and submit accurate, timely and relevant financial returns and reports
Ensure management and financial accounting records for subsidiary companies are accurately recorded and reported, including transactions between joint ventures
Ensure the accounts payable function operates efficiently for the business and suppliers
Maintain clear and accurate VAT and corporation tax accounting records, work with external and internal partners to maximise VAT recovery on behalf of the business,
Support the Financial Controller in developing and implementing the service plan for the finance team, taking ownership of delivery of oneoff special projects
Directly managing a team of five staff
To apply candidates will need to be a qualified accountant
Finance Manager (Revenues)
To manage five staff in the Revenue Team in line with company policies and procedures
Take responsibility for the service charge calculation, billing, customer queries and reporting
To manage and implement the annual rental and service charge setting and billing processes Take responsibility for the delivery of Right to Buy and Right to Acquire service (£2m), ensuring excellent customer service and ensuring all key statutory deadlines are met
Ensure all sales through Rightto-Buy and Right-to-Acquire are legally compliant and correctly accounted for
Ensure accurate and timely reconciliation and reporting of incoming rent, service charge and other billable payments from customers and provide relevant analysis, forecasts and commentary for monthly management accounts
Take responsibility for calculation of service charges for all tenures including tenant and homeowner service charges ensuring optimal recovery in terms of efficiency and value.
Act as point of expertise and advice for matters relating to service costs recoverable, policies and collection
