This is an exciting opportunity for the Finance Manager to support the Practice Manager and strengthen their current team. The Finance Manager will report into the Practice Manager and be required to add a level of expertise and manage the accounts department.
Finance Manager Duties & Responsibilities:
Produce Management Accounts
Produce Year End Accounts for submission to HMRC
Produce and maintain detailed P&L's
Advise the Board on Financial strategies and provide ad-hoc management information and business insight
Performance management and management for Finance Team
Production of board packs to ensure P & L movements are explained
Attendance at monthly Board meetings
Production of weekly and daily KPI's
Produce the weekly cash management sheet
Update the weekly cash flow forecast each week for the actuals
Provide any relevant supporting information to the senior management team as required in respect of cash management
Working with heads of department to ensure all monies due in are collected as promptly as possible
Ensuring all adverse costs, court fees and disbursements are identified as early as possible and scheduled in to the cash flow to manage as necessary
Ensure the schedule of direct debtors and standing orders is up to date.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
* Ideally ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified or equivalent * Previous experience within the legal sector is essential * Proficient in Proclaim * Competent in Payroll * Previous experience of managing a professional accounting department * Results orientated * Excellent communication and organisational skills both written and oral * Demonstrable negotiation skills * Strong organisational skills
