Job Description

Key Responsibilities & Tasks:

Responsible for the efficient progression of job specifications in workflow bins within the Opcare Wheelchair Management System |Quotation| Warehouse |Parts| Pick and Assembly |Transit| Cancelled Awaiting Processing |Local Modification|

Technical assessment of job specifications and attached clinical prescriptions to ensure most effective fulfilment method

Goods inwards, accurately check and record all deliveries checking against PO and quality checks are completed as required. Ensure all new stock items are correctly labelling and located in the designated warehouse is in place. Re-organizing a changing location of stock accordingly

Daily stock inventory management and replenishment procedures are effectively followed to ensure agreed stock levels are maintained at all times. Ensure weekly lane checks are carried out and recorded. Prepare for and carry out annual stock take

Goods outwards, allocate, pick, prepare and progress component items for job specifications and prepare for dispatch to Opcare Wheelchair Centre’s

Demonstrate a positive can do attitude with a mind-set of continuous improvement

Demonstrate a strong work ethic


Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
The successful candidate will join an enthusiastic and busy team in Leicester. The main focus of the job will be technical administration, assessment of technical information and accurate administration of all wheelchair stock. The position requires the job holder to possess:- An excellent working knowledge of IT systems including Microsoft Word, Outlook and Excel. Excellent attention to detail, demonstrates ability to accurately document information in a timely manner. Demonstrates ability to work well within a team environment. Excellent organizational skills, demonstrates the ability to manage personal daily workload. Willingness to learn new processes. Flexible and helpful attitude. Take responsibility for own workload. Physically fit to meet the demands of the job. Experience with service / client management software tools (desirable). Experience in review / assessment of technical / prescriptive information (desirable). Demonstrates the ability to complete multiple tasks simultaneously (desirable). Engineering / Technical skills related to wheelchair products (desirable). The position requires the job holder to possess:- Good understanding of English –Written and Verbal Manual Handling First aid certificate and Health and Safety qualifications (desirable). Mechanical /Technical Engineering qualification educational or vocational. Experience in a technical / administration role within a Wheelchair Service or Wheelchair Service Approved repairer or similar technical operational environment. Experience working within a warehouse environment. Picking, packing and dispatching of goods. Experience in stock management including use of IT inventory systems. Experience in working in a fast moving, results driven environment. FLT License (desirable). Experience with Barcoding (desirable). Min 2 years’ experience in a technical / administration role within a Wheelchair Service or Wheelchair Service Approved repairer or similar technical operational environment (desirable). Min 2 years’ experience working within a warehouse environment (desirable). Picking, packing and dispatching of goods (desirable). A technical understanding of wheelchair product ranges (desirable). Due to the nature of this role, a DBS check will be conducted for the successful candidate.
