Job Description

As Finance Analyst you will be reporting in to a divisional Finance Controller and working within small, friendly and supportive finance team, and will be responsible for producing the daily and weekly reports relating to specific customers.

Your primary responsibility will be to focus on EDI analysis to ensure the business are correctly charging the customer, spot any trends and pin point discrepancies, and will involve analysis and monitoring of this information. You will also be involved in working with other areas of the team to ensure cross charges are correct.

Other responsibilities will include:
-Analysis of EDI and ensuring minimal discrepancies
-Regular liaising with 3rd parties and the internal wider team
-Supporting the finance team in production of 3mnth forecasting
-Supporting the Financial Controller in production of annual budget
-Providing wider support to other business stream as required

Are you excited about this new Finance Analyst role?! Well if you are, our client requires someone who has previous accounting AND analysis experience plus management accounts and reporting experience gained from working as Finance Analyst, Assistant Accountant, Management Accountant type positions previously. It would also be an added bonus if you've worked in supply chain/ freight or logistics environment previously, and ideally are studying towards a finance qualification.

You will also need to be able to demonstrate excellent attention to detail, be capable of picking up new tasks quickly, can deliver results on time, enjoy asking questions and loves working as a team! Advanced Excel is also required due to the analytical nature of this role.

As this initially is a temporary role for 6mnths (with the strong possibility of being extended), you also need to be available at relatively short notice. This role will be working from home for the initial 6mnths but will require travel to the site when allowed. A lap top will be provided.
