Job Description

The role will support the business which manages their existing portfolio of SME lending businesses.

As the Finance Analyst, you will also work closely wit the CEO and CFO to execute commercial strategy and evaluate new opportunities.

The role

• Support the Senior Finance Analyst and other Senior stakeholders
• Partnering with key stakeholders across the business to provide financial support to non-financial team members.
• Provide financial analysis for monthly sales and credit risk meetings to allow meaningful discussion and to enable management to hold the business to account and drive performance.
• Support project work, helping to evaluate and assess commercial opportunities both for existing SME lending businesses and potential new starts and acquisitions.
• Prepare analysis and commentary for monthly board reports and will work closely with board level stakeholders on investment cases, providing opportunity to steer the agenda at the top level of the company.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Finalist or Newly Qualified (CIMA / ACCA / ACA etc) or have approximately one year's experience post qualification Advanced Microsoft Excel - Essential Working knowledge of a data visualisation tool such as Power BI, Experienced working within a commercial role A keen problem solver and enjoy the challenge of working through multiple viable options to find the best solution to a problem Confident and highly motivated Some experience in financial modelling and/or a desire to learn this skill - Desirable Experience in a financial services / lending business - Desirable
