You will also support the Financial Reporting team in the month end process, whilst supporting the wider business by proactively producing complex trading performance scenario analysis.

The Opportunity

• Being the Commercial Finance Team’s primary liaison with the Group Data team for BAU activities
• Working with the Group Data team and commercial stakeholders in proactively identifying, scoping and delivering trading performance MI improvements
• Supporting the Commercial Finance Business Partner by assisting with the review of trading business cases, maintaining and refining life time value calculations for B2C products, acting as the Finance representative in trading performance meetings and being the go to person for financial analytical trading queries
• Understanding in detail the cause and quantum of trading performance issues, risks and upsides and their impact of Forecast/Budget
• Responsible for proactively producing complex product profitability analysis
• Supporting the Budget & Forecast processes by actively challenging trading assumptions in the Forecast/Budget
• Support on wider Commercial Finance led projects and team members as required.

Personal Skills

You should have advanced analytical skills and a high attention to detail and accuracy, whilst demonstrating proactive approach to challenges, underlined by a strong drive and work ethic. Having experience of using Tableau would be a distinct advantage but not a necessity.

In addition, you will:

• Be comfortable working with large, complex data sets
• Be obsessed with accuracy and the process of resolving differences in MI
• Build and maintain strong relationships with internal customers and suppliers which allow for the robustly challenge of inputs and views held by others
• Be able to influence and co-ordinate others to deliver the desired outcome
• Have the ability to present complex information methodically, clearly and concisely.
• Be a highly organised, strong team player.
