Job Description

The main purpose of this role is to support the Managing Director with the general running of the business, keeping things running smoothly when the Managing Director is out of the office.
Office Administrator Responsibilities:

  • Answer the telephone, being the first point of contact for all incoming calls and enquiries
  • Oversee and control various aspects of the goods in and goods out procedures, with a particular emphasis on accurate paperwork and processes
  • Produce advice notes for customer deliveries, ensuring accurate information is completed and records are stored appropriately, e.g. scanned and filed
  • Complete and maintain all the transportation paperwork
  • Maintain the fork-lift truck licenses and organize appropriate training in order to maintain the licenses

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
The successful candidate will have previous experience within an office administrative role, will be well organized, have excellent attention to detail, and will show good initiative; be a self-starter. The successful candidate will also be comfortable with taking responsibility and ownership of tasks and responsibilities, particularly when the Managing Director is away. The role holder will need to live locally as they will be a key-holder for emergencies.
