The NHTs are teams of Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists, Therapy Support Workers and District Nurses all offering an excellent service to patients within their own homes. Therapeutic intervention aims to improve function, promote independence, build strength and endurance and optimise mobility with an emphasis on care closer to home.
It is essential that the post holder has:
Excellent communication, negotiation and liaison skills,
An up to date and broad knowledge of therapy rehabilitation in the community,
Service improvement and development skills,
A flexible and organised approach,
Access to your own vehicle.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
The post holder will receive a full induction and support from the qualified physiotherapists along with competency training and completion in order to carry their own independent caseload. The post holder will carry out home visits, assessing a patients physiotherapy needs and implementing a treatment plan.
