Job Description

We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join the admin team at Corby Business Academy, to provide a courteous and efficient service to the students, visitors and the academy at all times. The apprentice will also be working towards achieving a nationally recognized qualification! Typical responsibilities will include:

  • Undertake exclusions letters and record on SIMS, Word and MIS
  • Support with mid-year admissions by conversing with students, parents and others in school teams
  • Invigilator duties
  • Preparation, set up and planning of exams
  • Using MIS/SIMS and produce reports
  • Support and show others how to use SIMS and reviewing the data where applicable
  • Data entry & comparison of information and reports on other systems
  • Create student reports, checking data has been inputted and export to ParentApp
  • Creating Mark sheets in SIMS for data input
  • Timetabling – moving students on timetable/tutor groups
  • Accurate input of key data and recording for Exams
  • Seek to respond to work-related matters within the same working day wherever possible
  • Represent the Trust in a range of situations including communicating and co-operating with persons or bodies outside the school environment

TRAINING PROVIDED
The responsibilities of the administrator are to support and engage with different parts of the organization and interact with internal or external customers. With a focus on adding value, the role of business administrator contributes to the efficiency of an organization, through support of functional areas, working across teams and resolving issues as requested. The apprenticeship takes approximately 18 months to complete and you will receive a blended method of learning including tutor visits and attending workshops, working towards achieving nationally recognized qualifications in:

· Level 3 Business Administration Apprenticeship Standard.

· Level 2 Functional Skills math’s.

· Level 2 Functional Skills English.

WORKING WEEK
The apprentice will be contracted from Monday to Friday for 37 hours per week, 8am - 4pm.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Good level of numeracy, literacy and ICT skills - Ability to use Office 365 efficiently - Confident and can communicate effectively - Uphold confidentiality and GDPR compliant - Excellent interpersonal skills - Good time management and able to priorities workload - Operate effectively as part of a team - Self-motivated - Loyal and dependable - Keen to learn and willingness to undertake training - Good attention to detail and accuracy. - You may be called to discuss the role further and asked to complete some online assessments in Math’s and English. - GCSE A-C or equivalent qualifications required in Math’s and English. Education: GCSE or equivalent (Preferred).
