A fantastic opportunity has become available for someone to play a key part as a Nursery Manager and help to build the business. The successful candidate will be someone with experience within the horticultural industry, who is happy to head a small team of staff to ensure the customer orders are fulfilled on time to an excellent standard, maintain and make improvements to their growing nursery site.

The position is a full-time permanent role, offering a competitive salary of £25,000 - 30,000 depending on experience plus a performance annual bonus offered. The annual leave is 28 days holiday including bank holidays and holidays to be taken between the months of April and September as it is their quieter time. The nursery closes for between 10-14 days over the Christmas period. Hours are 8-5 Monday to Friday and weekend watering. As management, our client expects for overtime to not be an issue if work needs to be done.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Applicants will have good management skills, good knowledge of horticulture and excellent time keeping. They would be happy to be very hands on as it is a small team and the team work together in all weathers. A 'can do’ and 'lead from the front’ attitude is also considered essential. A forklift certificate would be advantageous.
