Job Description

We are supporting a national retail client to appoint a qualified management accountant for a Balance Sheet reconciliation project as part of a growth plan to refine, resolve and implement new efficient processes. The role will be 100% working from home.

Reporting to the Interim Project Finance Lead you will be able to problem solve and perform root cause analysis surrounding the various systems and c20 challenging balance sheet accounts. A proactive and confident candidate with the ability to coordinate and influence colleagues within R2R, P2P and Operations will be a good fit.

Our client is looking for an influential candidate with a strong track record of delivering operational solutions to complex financial issues. A qualified accountant who has acted as a commercial accountant, FBP or Finance Manager would be ideal.

Ideally, you will:
• Support the Business Partner to take ownership of identified operational root cause analysis and fixes.
• Own the balance sheet processes and identify solutions to future proof against transaction backlogs on the balance sheet reconciliations.
• Be a proactive individual who can cover the Balance Sheet workload efficiently whilst building strong relationships with internal stakeholders.
• Have demonstrated an aptitude to review and understand balance sheet reconciliations for challenging accounts.
• Coordinate a team of account owners to investigate unreconciled and aged item currently held on the balance sheet
