Selecta, the largest provider of unattended self-serve coffee and convenience food in Europe, is recruiting for a Senior Payroll Administrator/ Payroll Officer at their Ruislip office in West London. This is a fantastic opportunity for a driven individual with proven experience of payroll processes and systems to join an international business and take responsibility for payroll processes for a workforce of 1000+ employees. The role involves a high volume of processing/ administrative tasks so candidates must be comfortable working accurately in a fast-paced environment.
The Role
This role 75% input/administrative processes and 25% reporting and analysis. You would take responsibility for ensuring the company has efficient and effective controls and systems in place in order to support growth and change within the organisation. Key tasks will include…
Ensuring all staff are paid the correct amount on a timely basis and in line with regulatory requirements
Administration of third-party reconciliation (such as court orders etc) including payment schedules and correspondence
Investigating Payroll discrepancies
Monthly / year end controls / financial reporting, improving and developing reporting capabilities
Assist in managing all employee benefits
Requirements
The role will suit an experienced payroll professional with experienced gained supporting a multi-site business.
There is a large volume of processing starters and leavers: between 30 – 50 of each per month. Payroll is involved in processing all of these and so the successful canddiates will ideally come from an environment with sole responsibility for similar volumes
Easy commuting distance to Ruislip is essential- no more than an hour door-to-door
Detailed knowledge of payroll processes including HMRC legislation
An understanding of core processes and legislation related to auto enrolment, P11Ds, NI calculations etc
Advanced MS Office skills, especially Excel: Pivot Tables, VLookup etc
Excellent analytical skills, high attention to detail, experience working to tight deadlines
Experience improving working practices and making recommendations
Knowledge of SDWorx advantageous but not essential
Experience of working for businesses with circa 1000 + staff.
