Job Description

They are looking for an Accountant to join them on a 12-month fixed term contract basis and the salary is very flexible and based on experience. The role is to cover a maternity leave but due to the growth as an organisation, there is a good chance this role could become permanent.

They are a small finance team of 6 and you would be supporting the Financial Controller in project relating to process improvements, company growth as well as the day-to-day finance duties.

* Produce monthly management accounts with commentary and analysis
* Oversee month end close with the team
* Provide financial insight and analysis on ad hoc projects
* Ensure all financial statutory requirements are adhered to
* Identify and implement improvements in processes, systems and procedures
* Business partnering - work across the business to highlight areas of improvements
* Liaise with auditors
* Assist with the day-to-day management and training of the team
* Carry out transactional duties such as reconciliations
* Maintain and review fixed asset register
* Use of SAP and strong Excel skills including VLOOKUP's, Pivot Tables and ideally Macros

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

They are really looking for someone part qualified / newly qualified ACA / CIMA / ACCA or equivalent, but this is not essential as it is more about the person being able to get stuck in at all levels within the finance team from driving the business forward to processing invoices.
