Job Description

Family Officer/Accountant (HNW British Family) - based London or Switzerland. A top opportunity has arisen for a Senior Associate level accountant with a background within a Family Office, Private Bank or Wealth Management firm. Good business French is required to work with French speaking service providers both in Switzerland and the Carribean (Essential). 5-10 years' experience is needed together with excellent communication skills, energy and commitment.

The family live in Switzerland, UK, USA and Carribean and have assets in each country (including property)

Accounting: Dealing with all accounting to include execution of payments and transfers in different countries (300 per month). Balance sheet reconciliation, budgeting and cash flow on a monthly basis. Presentatin and reporting of accounts in cash fow style reports. Liaising with banks custodians, accountants and insurance providers. Responsible for providing financial information to family and management team. Draft minutes, attend calls and follow business rationale.

Banking/Insurance: Experience to pass bank transactions and operate accounts. Experience with global custodians as well as managing multple Forex accounts. Experience with international insurance providers. Insurance claims and follow up reimbursements

Property/Inventory: Managing rental income and local vendors across properties internationally. Working with respective property managers. Mnage inventory of wine, fine art & jewelry

Legal/Corporate Governance: An understanding of legal agreements and contracts and fiduciary obligations.

Systems: An understanding of workflow processes, document management systems ad accounting systems

This is an interesting and incusive role of great trust and a top working relationship must be forged from the beginning. Hands on and solutions driven there will be occasional travel to Switzerland/London/Carribean.
