Your new firm
A well established growing firm of Chartered Accountants based on the outskirts of Stockport are looking to appoint an ACA / ACCA qualified accountant to join the firm as a Senior Accountant to assist the partner with the management of the firms portfolio. The firm provide a general practice service to a range of clients under the audit threshold and have an excellent reputation in Stockport.

Your new role
As a Senior Accountant you will report directly into the partner and be responsible for managing a portfolio of clients predominantly consisting of SMEs and OMBs. You will be responsible for reviewing the files of the junior members of the team, finalising accounts, conducting year end meetings with clients and advising on tax planning and other business decisions.

In this role you will work closely with the partner to ensure the compliance requirements of the firm are met by the institute and gain involvement in the day to day running of the practice. The firm will consider both part time or full time hours from 25 hours / week upwards.

What you'll need to succeed
The firm is seeking an ACA / ACCA qualified accountant who can demonstrate strong organisational skills. You must have experience of working within a general practice with experience of both accounts compliance and some tax planning experience (ideally personal tax planning such as dividends and profit extraction). Any exposure to portfolio or man management would also be preferable. The firm will consider both part time or full time hours from 25 hours / week upwards.
