Job Description

• Ensuring the timeliness and accuracy of the financial statements for the businesses which have been prepared in Cluj. This is for monthly, quarterly and annual positions.
• Preparing supplemental information required on a quarterly basis for the Consolidation team in Essen.
• Ensuring that information provided by the businesses is validated and challenged prior to being processed by the Shared Service Centre in Cluj.
• Producing statutory accounts including disclosures.
• Provision of tax pack related information to the Tax team.
• Ensuring that the financial statements are technically correct and in accordance with the E.ON accounting manual and International Financial Reporting Standards.
• Ensuring that the accounting ledgers are compliant with UK tax requirements (Corporation tax, VAT, PAYE etc.).
• Acting as a key user for modules within SAP (e.g. fixed assets, Accounts Payable, Receivables etc.)
• Liaising with Internal Audit and external auditors and the business to fully support audits.

Here’s what you need to know

• Due to the nature of this role a Criminal Record Check will be required.
• This is a fixed term contract for 12 months.
• This role will can be based be based at our Westwood Office, Coventry or Newstead Office, Nottingham.
• The salary range for this role is £42,287 - £53,990

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Here’s what we need from you: Educated to Degree level, or equivalent, in a relevant subject. A relevant professional accounting qualification (CIMA, ACCA, ACA). Practical post qualification experience. Good technical accounting skills. Excellent numerical and analytical skills with the ability to interpret data. Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build strong working relationships. IT literate, with Advanced Excel being a prerequisite.
