Job Description

We have an exciting opportunity for a Group Accountant to join our Finance Team based in Coventry. You will report into one of our Senior Group Accountant and working closely with other Finance Staff from the UK & Ireland, assisting in monthly, quarterly and annual consolidation and financial reporting for the actual, forecasting and budgeting processes. You will be required to build knowledge and relationships with key stakeholders across various businesses and divisions in the UK & Ireland as well as our parent company in Paris.

What you’ll be doing as a Group Accountant:

  • Preparation of consolidated reports and Group management accounts on a monthly basis
  • Critical review and investigation of information received from subsidiaries
  • Preparation of trading and dormant UK & Ireland company statutory accounts
  • Preparation of consolidated UK & Ireland Group budget and quarterly forecasts alongside assisting with preparation of presentation to Paris
  • Critical review, query and consolidation of brand reports on Adhoc analysis and projects when required
  • Offer technical understanding and guidance to brands

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
What we’re looking for in a Group Accountant: Qualified Chartered Accountant. Experience of reporting under a group reporting tool or experience of preparing consolidations. Experience of preparing full trading company statutory accounts under IFRS or UK GAAP. Good technical accounting ability with a commercial awareness. Knowledge of IFRS and current issues. Good communication skills, both written and verbal. Strong excel skills.
