Job Description

We are looking for a suitable candidate to join our small and friendly accounts team with immediate effect, and to take the business forward into the 5th generation. The successful candidate will be organised and methodical, have a positive outlook and have worked for at least 2 years with Sage 50 accounts sales ledger module, and be able to step into the role with some training,

Duties include but are not limited to:-

• Assisting in maintaining our accurate sales ledger including; checking sales orders and converting them into invoices, and posting onto Sage.
• Chasing overdue accounts by phone and email & monitoring and recording performance.
• Emailing invoices and statements in a clear and timely manner.
• Transferring batch web orders and bank fees from website platform into Sage on a regular basis.
• Double checking all Sales Orders dispatch items to ensure invoices are clear & correct before filing.
• Credit card & Petty cash transactions processing and reconciliation.
• Speaking to customers on the phone.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Experience in the same or similar role. Experience working in accounts/finance. At least 2 years experience in Sage 50 Sales Ledger activities. Working knowledge of SAGE 50. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office packages especially Excel, Word and Outlook. To be able to process data accurately and quickly. Methodical with attention to detail. Ability to multi-task and to manage and prioritise busy workloads. Will take responsibility for your duties & be passionate about working in a team. Will ask for help if/ when required. Are able to work in a busy and progressive environment. Will be discreet with sensitive information when required. Can reach our offices each day and are living within an easy commute.
