This busy, growing practice are looking for someone with at least 2 years' experience. Full-time salary will be up to £26k (depending on experience). The firm is willing to provide flexible working hours at 35 hours per week and an excellent benefits package.
Bookkeeper Responsibilities:
To manage a portfolio of bookkeeping clients.
To prepare quarterly and monthly VAT returns.
To undertake client engagement using the appropriate cloud software.
To undertake client engagements where so directed ensuring quality and accuracy.
Keep engagement partners and / or managers adequately informed of progress on engagements.
Contribute where relevant to technical and other discussions with clients and others.
Ensure completion of relevant file schedules including budget variances.
Ensure all relevant deadlines are met.
Provides support and learning for more junior members of the team, as appropriate.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Demonstrate strong bookkeeping skills across a variety of sectors and client types. Experience in all aspects of bookkeeping Experience in the preparation of VAT returns Experience in areas such as CIS and Company Secretarial Experience of cloud solutions such as Quickbooks Online and Xero Knowledge of accounting packages such as Iris and Sage Knowledge of Microsoft packages such as Word and Excel Ability to think laterally and imaginatively to seek the range of options available to clients. Proven ability to adapt quickly to changing deadlines and priorities. Strong organisation & communication skills Able to prioritise work and work to tight deadlines.
