We have a fantastic opportunity for a Semi-Senior Accountant to join a dynamic and vibrant accountancy practice within their commercial services team. You'll be working with a wide range of clients and this is an exciting chance to join a large company who offer fantastic training and benefits.
Duties for the Semi-Senior role will include:
- Processing of VAT returns
- Bookkeeping, management accounts and statutory accounts preparation
- Assessing client's system requirements and attending face to face meetings with the Client Manager to plan conversion projects
- Broadening your knowledge of cloud-based systems in order to assess client's requirements and make appropriate recommendations
- Working on conversions to cloud-based software for a wide variety of clients - preparing them for the introduction of the HMRC initiative, MTD for VAT
Candidate requirements for the Semi-Senior Accountant (Commercial Services):
- AAT part or fully qualified
- Ideally previous experience working within an accountancy practice
- The ability and willingness to travel to client's premises when required
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to engage confidently with clients
- Competent on Word, Excel and the ability to learn how to use cloud based accounting packages (Xero / Sage Business Cloud / QuickBooks)
Hours: Monday to Friday, full time hours (flexi-time available)
Salary: £20,000 - £25,000 per annum
