Job Description

Coordinating all raw materials from concept to launch, challenging where necessary the supplier specifications. Ensuring all systems are updated in a timely manner.

• To design, implement and maintain a system that reduces the risk to the business of poor-quality ingredients being used.
• To design, implement and maintain a system to monitor raw material micro performance to reduce the risk to the business of OOS materials being used.
• To monitor the results of all raw material testing / intake assessment and communicate results internally and with supplier.
• To ensure that food safety and quality assessments for raw materials are carried out at timely manner.
• To actively work with suppliers to reduce any risk that a raw material poses to the business.
• Work closely with Raw Material Technologist to monitor raw materials supplier performance and escalate any issues to the business.

Desirable experienced in raw material assessments. Experience in the food industry. Knowledge of raw materials, TWA, EC numbers and the factory environment. M&S A List. Good computer skills – minimum Excel, Word, E-mail, Online Specification and Laboratory systems. Proactive person who can multi-task across the team functions and clearly communicate with both internal and external personnel. Flexibility regarding hours – must be prepared to work outside of these hours and provide weekend cover dependent on the needs of the business).
