Job Description

We are looking for an experienced manager with a Trading Standards background to supervise a small team involved in commercial practices, mainly Fair Trading work.

The team of five will be focused on areas like, tobacco control, IP crime, the car trade, doorstep crime and scams, as well as general fair trading work.

We are looking for someone who has successful experience of managing in these areas and who has a good understanding of legal process for such cases. You would have general responsibility for management of day to day activities.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Experience Required: * Substantial experience in an enforcement role within a trading standards service operating across the full range of service functions including. * The accurate generation and dissemination of intelligence. * The creation of intelligence-based project proposals that have been approved through tasking and led to successful outcomes. * The creation of intelligence-based project proposals that have been approved through tasking and led to successful outcomes.
