Job Description

They are currently looking to recruit an Internal Auditor to improve and develop our risk management, governance and internal control processes.  You will then provide an independent guarantee that the Group’s processes are operating effectively.

Working across the dealerships you will monitor and evaluate how well risks are being managed, how business is running, and if internal processes are working.

The scope and nature of audits can vary significantly, but the main priority of your work, is to ensure any issues that would affect the survival and prosperity of the business are dealt with.

Your work with senior management will provide evidence to stakeholders that they are managing the business effectively.

Group Auditor Responsibilities:

• Attend meetings to develop an understanding of existing business processes
• Travel to different sites to meet relevant staff and obtain documents and information
• Research and assess how well risk management processes are working and recording the results
• Perform risk assessments on key business activities and using this information to guide what should be covered in audits
• Agree recommendations with relevant staff members to make improvements to operations and helping to secure backing for them in meetings
• Prepare reports to highlight issues and problems and distributing the reports to the relevant people
• Assess how well the business is complying to rules and regulations and informing management of any issues that need addressing
• Conduct dealership audits and reporting findings to senior management & audit committee

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Previous Governance, External or Internal Auditing experience is essential A self-starter with tenacity to get into the detail of the business Show excellent attention to detail and skilled in producing high quality reports Proficient in MS Office and flow-charting software Good interpersonal skills Full driving licence and personal car, preferable (regular travel between our sites will be required) Honest, trustworthy and reliable Excellent time management
