Job Description

The ideal Candidate will have a minimum of 3 years’ experience working in Managed Services, providing specialized support across Windows Server platforms. They should possess excellent troubleshooting skills and demonstrate the ability to make key technical decisions on their own accord. Excellent communication skills, both face to face and on the telephone, whilst having the ability to assess and priorities tasks without close supervision is essential. A willingness to learn new technologies and adopt new processes is key.

The key responsibilities of the role include:

• Designing, developing and deploying of technologies on Windows Platforms
• Offering solutions and workarounds to incidents/problems
• Working to SLA’s and deadlines
• Review of services and application delivery
• Prioritizing and managing several tasks at a single time
• Establishing a good working relationship with wider teams and customers alike
• Keep up to date with advancements in technology
• Work with a variety of customers to gain a detailed understanding of their requirements
• Providing Remote On-Call Out of Hours Support
• Willingness to Travel (Infrequent)

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

The Candidate should have experience in the following: Microsoft Windows Server (2008, 2012, 2016 & 2019) – including server core. Core Windows infrastructure components (DHCP, Windows failover clustering, etc.). Designing, developing and deploying of technologies on Windows Platforms. Active Directory experience: Group Policy Objects (GPO), Forests, Domains, Domain Controller Roles, DNS, Permission Models, Delegation, Trust relationships, LDAP and Kerberos. Azure AD technologies including Azure AD Connect, ADFS, Azure SSO and PIM Understands the interdependency between Active Directory and DNS. PKI and Certificate Management. Microsoft Identity Management (FIM/MIM). Quest Tools (Active Roles, Change Auditor, Recovery Manager, InTrust, Password Manager). Anti-virus technologies (McAfee ePO, ENS, VSE, HIPS and DLP, MS SCEP, Symantec SEP, etc.). Server hardware including HP, Dell, IBM and Cisco UCS. Scripting (PowerShell, VB, etc.). Windows Server 2016 & 2019. Exposure to Citrix technologies. Exposure to Virtualization technologies. Exposure to Messaging technologies.
