Job Description
Other responsibilities will include:
- Acting as "Champion" to increase awareness in Quality and Food Safety, monitor adherence to QMS policies and Procedures;
- Working as part of an integrated Technical team, to build and promoting a Food Safety culture at all levels on site;
- Recording and auditing conformance to standards including GMP, Glass, CCP, pre-start ups post sanitation, WIP inspections, chemical titrations, equipment calibration and ensuring permanent fix corrective actions are in place and completed;
- Assisting in site audits and regulatory requirement, including completing traceability exercises, completion of routine environmental swabbing, registering samples for micro testing, water sampling and ensuring the site is 24/7 audit ready in both GMP and documentation requirements;
- In partnership with production working to ensure the product meets its quality standards as defined by the Quality Manual;
- Investigating customer complaints, leading daily taste panels on finished product and managing blocked stock levels to a minimum by driving permanent fix corrective actions;
- Ensuring H&S policy is being adhered to;
- Assuming accountability for the management and implementation of the company food safety and quality policy;
- Establishing practices to maintain a Food Safety and Quality focused mind-set that holds people to account for those standards;
- Promoting and enforcing behaviours and actions that will prevent all contamination threats to products whether physical, microbial or chemical;
- Immediate escalation reporting on the status on any non-compliance in the system or process (to management) for countermeasure or immediate remedy.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Highly experienced within a fast paced FMCG environment; Familiar with carrying out regular internal audits; Driven and motivated to drive improvements; Holding basic understanding of microbiology; Qualified to Level 3 in Food Safety; Level 3 HACCP would be advantageous.
