Job Description
  • Co-ordinate and lead internal QMS activity
  • Owner of Hold and Release process including investigations, RCA and CAPA
  • Drive site compliance to standards (BRC, AIB) via GEMBA, verification audits etc.
  • Guardian of site compliance to legal & regulatory standards
  • Drive QCDM process from a quality perspective by providing update on key metrics
  • Support the front line team on problem solving and decision making through leading problem solving groups, A3 problem solving tools, kaizen events.
  • Use the DMAIC process to improve Quality metrics
  • Review quality checks completion and raise any concerns
  • Monitoring budget spend and reporting to Quality Manager
  • Participate in implementation of risk reduction/elimination program
  • Participate in HACCP meetings and conduct internal audits
  • Training and coaching of front line teams:
  • In new and existing quality and regulatory systems (validation and refresher training)
  • Understanding of QMS, BRC and the implementation thereof
  • Understand behaviors and support behavioral change at point of value via coaching GEMBAs
  • Strong support to site teams by:
  • Providing guidance on holds and risk assessments
  • Weak link and other KPI reporting
  • Support must win battles by leading work streams related to quality metrics such as CPM and RFT.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Degree educated or equivalent in food science or equivalent. Previous audit experience either as an auditor or as an auditee specifically in a quality environment. Experience of implementation and maintenance of Quality management systems. Knowledge of quality systems & processes (e.g. SPC, weight control & auditing). Food Safety, HACCP, Internal Auditing. Decision making based on facts, risks and information gathered. Ability to audit against process and product specifications. Ability to troubleshoot quality issues in a production environment. Understand the impact of change management. Facilitation of root cause analysis. Excellent analytical / problem solving skills. Understand the consumer impact of what we do. Ability to manage a variety of work streams concurrently. Ability to priorities workload with clear objective to meet project timelines. Ability to work autonomously and seek advice/ escalate issues as required. Excellent organizational skills. Ability to show discretion and integrity when handling sensitive information. Capacity to show attention to detail and analyze data. Must demonstrate the ability to work in a dynamic team and challenging environment. Ability to work under pressure and manage ever changing priorities. Demonstrate role model behavioral and lead by example. Strong stakeholder management skills and the ability to influence decision making at different levels.
