Job Description

We are looking for someone who has excellent communication skills as you will be working closely with various internal teams such as marketing, customer services, finance, warehouse, distribution and creative as well as numerous external suppliers.
You will have some experience of working within a similar role and also some people management experience as you manage a small team of Trading Assistants.
Responsibilities

  • Continually review information on sales, bestsellers & key online metrics to find opportunities to best trade.
  • Educate yourself to know and understand the Next customer, across all sales channels, in the UK and internationally.
  • Collaborate with colleagues and teams to test and learn what the customer wants. Ensure your recommendations have the customer’s needs and wants at the forefront to deliver an increase in sales internationally.
  • Translate ideas into practical solutions that improve performance internationally.
  • Communicate across all levels of the business. Is good at influencing senior stakeholders to win support for positive change and new ideas that support international growth.
  • Build a close understanding of the trading calendars & customer shopping behaviors in our key countries and third party sales channels.
  • Share business knowledge quickly and develop a good understanding of business priorities.
  • Identify improvements and developments of internal and external processes with a constant view of improving service and profitability.
  • Work with internal and external teams to ensure essential third party KPI’s are always managed and adhered to.
  • Develops a network of productive relationships internally and externally that helps ensure international development is considered and supported.
  • Act as the key central contact point for external suppliers and third party sales channels where Next are the supplier.
  • Support in the identification and execution of key strategic opportunities; liaising with internal and external stakeholders in order to get the job done.
  • Attend all relevant internal meetings and account reviews with third party sales channels.
  • Participates in productive meetings that focus on the task in hand.
  • Accurate administration of key business documents required both internally and externally.
  • Be an ambassador for third parties and international internally and externally
  • Deputies for the International Trading Manager in meetings and reviews when required.
  • Manage a small team of Trading Assistants

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Displays a clear sense of vision, direction and belief. Perseverance and a desire to succeed. Keen interest in fashion, online and awareness of the latest trends. Is good at influencing to win support for positive change and new ideas. Excellent communication skills with the ability to present to a range of audiences. Experience of working within an international department is desired but not essential. A foreign language is desired, but not essential. Comfortable with international travel from time to time. A passion for creating solutions with a positive attitude to change. Excellent analytical skills and an informed, evidence-based approach. Highly motivated and hardworking with a professional attitude, who is able to work under pressure in a fast paced environment. Is able to accurately identify own development needs and is open to learning. Confident in managing and developing a team to deliver consistent results. Experience in online marketplaces is desired, but not essential.
