Identify sales opportunities with new and existing customers, conduct telephone sales presentations and successfully achieve the sales of company products and services
Build and maintain relationships by regular telephone, email contact and occasional face to face meetings, with customers and potential customers
Develop incremental business in existing accounts and conduct market research and cold calls to develop new opportunities
Travel (when safe to do so) to visit some of your key customers across the UK
Engage with our distribution channel partners to train on the portfolio, generate leads and close opportunities
Develop presentations and customer proposals, including structuring appropriate pricing and contract milestones
Communicate account objectives, action plans and revenue forecasts to management on a regular basis

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Who we are looking for: Degree in a Life Science, ideally Molecular Biology, Cell Biology, Biology, Biochemistry or similar; or equivalent knowledge and experience. Some experience of working in a lab. Previous telephone-selling, telephone-based customer service or direct sales experience (any industry) strongly preferred. A genuine desire to work in a sales role, with drive, enthusiasm and a positive mindset. Fluent in English (verbal & written). Willing and able to relocate, if and when required (and when safe to do so). Willing and able to travel on occasion within the UK, including some overnight stays. Driving license preferred (but not essential).
