You’ll be involved in all aspects of the manufacturing process, with your mechanical and/or electrical skills being utilised to provide technical support across the site. You’ll be part of a tight-knit team aiming to keep factory output at optimum levels, ensuring both cost-effectiveness and satisfied customers.
This position also offers the opportunity to use your people skills, as you’ll be mentoring & training production department colleagues and, if you’re ambitious with a set of friendly, confident communication skills (in addition to your superb technical ability of course!) the company could offer a pathway into their management team.
Core working hours will predominately be on the day shift, 08:30 to 17:30 and as this job needs an engineer to cover occasional Team Leader absences, you’ll have the chance to work on other shifts too.
You’ll need to demonstrate solid technical knowledge gained in a similar, trouble-shooting engineering role, ideally being a ‘manufacturing nuts & bolts’ enthusiast, as the company make a diverse and wide range of highly technical products. You should also be familiar with production and reporting processes, including tool optimisation, being comfortable in enthusiastically collaborating across the business, participating in projects & operational meetings.
