Job Description

• Effective leadership of, coaching and mentoring of the asset management team to include Senior Energy Asset Manager with a view to building a world-class asset management function from the ground up over time.
• Be a cultural ambassador for my clients Energy side of the business by fostering a can-do attitude and one that develops all the staff to aspire to constantly improve.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, regulatory, professional and legal requirements.
• Keep up to date with sector developments, new legislation and relevant economic trends impacting the sector.
• Continue to evaluate risks within the energy portfolio on an ongoing basis and put in preventative measures to mitigate and lower risks.
• Assist with the identification and lead the implementation of new internal business controls, policies and processes to improve organisational efficiency as the team grows.
• Willingness to attend ad-hoc industry conferences, networking and corporate hospitality events to grow professional network / maintain key supplier relationships.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Strong and demonstrated people leadership skills / emotional intelligence in an asset management function for a renewable energy portfolio of similar size / scale / complexity. Engineering qualification and / or technical background in renewable energy across a range of technologies. Strong relationship management skills. Financially literate with strong negotiation skills and commercial awareness. The ability to prioritise, organize, delegate as appropriate and work autonomously. Excellent oral and written communication skills. High level of accuracy and attention to detail. Ability to work within a fast-paced environment and meet stretching deadlines. A proactive and confident attitude with a high level of personal drive and initiative.
