Job Description

The Job:

* Lead the Team to ensure the provision of care, within which the health, welfare, education and the development of young people is promoted.
* Work with the Management team of the home, in the monitoring of good practice ensuring positive working relationships amongst Young people and your team.
* Leading f the shift and giving appropriate support and direction to the staff team.
* Complete formal assessments of the needs of young people.
* To manage and analyse challenging behaviour resulting from complex needs.
* Work in line with Regulation and Inspection of Social Care Wales Act 2016 and Social Services and Wellbeing Act 2014 and adhere to company policies.
* To ensure the consistent with the smooth running of the home
* To provide supervision to individual members of staff as directed by the Registered Manager

Ideally you will have

* Ability to proactively engage with young people to establish, maintain and end safe-boundaried relationships.
* Ability to advocate for young people and enable them to advocate for themselves.
* Ability to time manage own workload effectively.
* ability to be resilience under pressure.
* Excellent communication skills
* Understanding of the Quality Standards alongside the Regulation and Inspection of Social Care Wales Act 2016
* A qualification relevant to the post, such as NVQ 3/level 3 Diploma in childcare (ESSENTIAL)
* Full driving license and have access to the use of a car (ESSENTIAL)
