Job Description

The role will be provisioning and maintaining the server infrastructure and services, both local and cloud based. In this position you will be making technical recommendations, managing the integration of cloud applications and infrastructure services. The ideal will candidate will not only have technical acumen but also great social skills and enjoy being part of exciting and diverse working environment.
The role:

• Proven experience of delivering on-prem to Cloud transformations and will work in an Agile and DevOps environment
• Experience administrating Linux based Servers
• Being able to demonstrate expertise in the support and administration of Cloud technology mainly AWS and/or Azure.
• Broad infrastructure (Windows & Linux, Office 365, VMware, Active Directory) and IaaS skills are needed
• Experience of managing and administering anti-virus, system back up and monitoring tools
• Able to write documentation detailing routine system administrative tasks such as restoring services from back-ups, swapping out un-serviceable hardware, etc

The successful applicant will have:

• Networking familiarity such as HTTP protocol
• Able to write scripts using Python or Bash
• Security and patching management
• Experience of Hadoop or distributed computation
• Experience of automation/configuration management
