Job Description

Joining a warm and welcoming in house human resources team you will share responsibility for the HR for hundreds of staff on site supporting managers and employees on generalist HR issues ranging from disciplinaries to employee relations.

On a day-to-day basis your duties will include…

·       Advising managers and employees on disciplinaries, grievances, employment law, contracts, employee relations, sickness, absence and performance management

·       Processing RTW (return to work) and lateness forms and keeping a record of this data, arranging where appropriate the necessary follow ups with occupational health, long term sickness &/or disciplinaries

·       Providing reports to managers regarding absence, time keeping, headcount and overtime

·       Supporting with on site disciplinary & grievance procedures including conducting investigations

·       Staff conflict resolution, providing mediation and ideally resolving issues before they reach formal grievance stage

·       Assisting managers on employee relations matters, writing letters for and taking notes during disciplinary & grievance hearings and providing advice

·       Coordination and delivery of the “Colleague of the Month” scheme

·       Maintain accurate personnel files including training, reviews and health & safety

·       Lending support with internal site audits

Salary, Hours & Benefits

• Full time, permanent role with working hours as Monday to Friday 8:30am-5:00pm

• 28 days annual leave

• Free on-site parking


Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
• An excellent communicator and a team player • Driven to provide the best possible support to their team, their staff and management • Ideally CIPD Level 3 qualified • Experienced in a similar position
