This is an HR generalist role, and you will be able to provide professional support and advice to managers and staff on HR queries and ensure HR policy and processes are implemented correct. Although supported and coached by the HR Manager, the ideal candidate will be able to work independently and have a flexible approach to undertaking tasks.
Supporting the HR Manager rolling out initiatives e.g. new performance reviews process, performance improvement plans, onboarding, employer branding projects
Deal sensitively with any employee relations issues and act as the first port of call for any employee queries.
Taking instruction from departments on recruitment, supporting managers in creating job/person specs, identifying appropriate methods of sourcing candidates, reviewing applications, organising (and attending) interviews.
Preparing contracts, offer documentation and undertaking references on candidates (including DBS checks when required)
Providing guidance to support manager’s compliance that all employee absence is timely and accurately recorded (annual leave, sickness, unpaid leave, maternity leave etc.)
Identifying and organising staff training requirements
Monitoring appraisal programme and managing HR Performance Indicator
Liaising with occupational health & medical advisors
Assisting with the maintenance of the HR system
Provision of management information as required
Conduct exit interviews and provide an analysis of the acquired information.
Ensure HR systems and employee data is regularly maintained

Experience of working within a Manufacturing or Engineering orientated environment Excellent attention to detail Excellent MS Office skills CIPD qualified / part qualified an advantage.
