We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced System Administrator to join one of London's most exciting Deep Tech start-ups.
The role requires a strong communicator, problem solver and tech enthusiast with a real desire to join a team pushing to be the best in an industry.
Key responsibilities:
*Building and executing Security Risk Management Plans within a high growth start-up environment.
*Effective management of network servers and technology tools.
*Own the administration and improvement of companywide authorisation systems to allow employees to work frictionlessly.
*Monitor performance and maintain systems according to requirements, inclusive of cloud.
*Troubleshoot issues and outages
*Ensure security through access controls, backups and firewalls
*Own the monitoring and testing of backups and network security
*Upgrade systems with new releases and models
*Develop expertise to train staff on new technologies
*Build an internal wiki with technical documentation, manuals and IT policies
*Setting up and maintaining Cloud IAM
*Longterm, building our company Security Strategy Concept aligned with our product growth plans.

This isn't a role for someone who wants to stand on the side-lines. This is an opportunity to get to grips with the inner workings of a successful start-up on its way up. To fit the dynamic here, you'll have energy, enthusiasm and positivity alongside real ability to perform and deliver.
We expect you will be:
*Diligent and organised, able to handle a high level of complexity and number of moving pieces.
*Able to work seamlessly across immediate security needs, while also prioritising and working on long term company needs.
*Skilled within the following scripts; Python, Bash or other language
*Resourceful and strong aptitude for problem solving
*An Excellent communicator at all levels of stakeholder, both internal and external
*Proven to be experienced as a System Administrator, Network Administrator or similar role
*Experienced with databases, networks (LAN, WAN) and patch management
*Knowledge of system security (e.g. intrusion detection systems) and data backup/recovery
*Familiar with various operating systems and platforms
*BSc/Ba in Information Technology, Computer Science or a related discipline; professional certification (e.g. Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator (MCSA)) is a plus
*Experienced in implementing IAM on at least one cloud
Experienced in building systems and security within a deep-tech startup environment considered an advantage.
In return:
*£55,000 - £65,000 pa (Depending on experience)
