Job Description

This is a great opportunity for the successful candidate to develop their skills within a growing business and play a key part in shaping the future of ALDI globally. Your role will be to support the Customer Interaction Strategy Manager in the delivery of key project messaging, the preparation and provision of support to governance bodies, internal communications activities and coordination of GBC people strategy and engagement activities.
The role is UK based, but some travel on demand should be expected, as per the needs of the project, or upon request of the Governance & Steering Manager.

Responsibilities / Duties:

  • Conduct committee preparation and coordination and reporting on behalf of the Customer Interaction GBC for a number of governance committees
  • Collaborate and align with International Working Groups (IWG) and stakeholders
  • Create communications materials for use within GBC and Aldi globally
  • Coordination of GBC input into employee engagement activities
  • Personal career development

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
The ideal candidate will have a background in communications, be a strong, forward thinking professional with an approachable but assertive presence in the working environment. You will be a creative self-starter who can develop engaging and exciting communications materials for stakeholders of all levels. You will be organized, have excellent attention to detail, strong interpersonal skills, and be able to communicate confidently with stakeholders of all levels. You will need enthusiasm and drive, with proven experience of working to deadlines in a fast-paced environment. You will need to think on your feet, be self-reliant, resilient and be a confident individual with a positive attitude. You will act as a custodian of the Customer Interaction Business Strategy team, constantly striving to find opportunities for improvement in every area. PMO or communications experience. Ability to multi-task on various projects. Excellent presentation materials development skills. Experience in and comfort with working in fast paced environments. Working in team environments – being a team player. Working with multiple stakeholders to drive forward topics. Working with ambiguity and taking ownership of deliverables. Sound and consistent reporting of project status. Ownership and maintenance of documentation that will be discussed and utilized by senior stakeholders. Regular communication with key business users. Able to work well under pressure. Knowledge of Microsoft Office, along with the ability to quickly understand new software. Excellent interpersonal, written and oral skills. Logical and efficient. Highly self-motivated. Excellent analytical skills and an informed, evidence-based approach. Analytical thinking. Team Player. Organized with the ability to priorities workloads to meet deadlines. As this role is part of a global team, there will be some requirement to travel internationally, primarily within Europe. This may vary depending on the business needs. Degree or equivalent in a related business.
