Job Description
- Drive a culture of safety by ensuring that team members are aware of and understand their responsibility for themselves and others, by role modelling safe behaviors and identifying and reporting risks and opportunities for improvement in safe working practices.
- Lead team members to ensure performance meets or exceeds commitment of our service promise to customers, and expectations of productivity and quality.
- Coach & mentor team members on team/individual performance, safety and quality. Ensure team member compliance to SOP/Standard work and actively participate in standard work team member audits.
- Ensure all duties within your direct area of responsibility are conducted to the required standards and completed in a timely manner, resolving common issues through knowledge of departmental procedures.
- Utilize knowledge of warehouse processes to resolve day-to-day issues in an effective and efficient manner
- To liaise with other members of the warehouse management team to ensure all daily operational tasks are covered and are completed in line with expected service levels
- Support DC leadership in goal setting, day to day and short-term operational requirements, people leadership and resource planning. To maintain team awareness through regular team briefings.
- Maintain team compliance to all quality, legal and ethical requirements.
- To ensure the highest standard of warehouse housekeeping and maintenance of company assets is achieved.
- Report on progress against pre-agreed objectives and any project work to support improvements in performance
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Manages time effectively and adapts quickly to changing priorities. Possess a personal drive to succeed, and to be able to work independently and take ownership of tasks and workload. NVQ Level 2 – Team leading (desirable).
