The Service Coordinator will be responsible for coordination of all Service Engineers across the region. This will include the scheduling of both breakdown call outs and planned services of their fleet of Materials Handling Equipment. Each Engineer is responsible for a set of local postcodes to allow a fast response time and reduce fuel costs for the business. On average each Engineer will be attending two to three jobs a day.
The Service Coordinator will also be the first point of contact for their Clients and will be required to do preliminary fault find over the phone with the customer to try and ascertain what is wrong. Once that has been done it will then be a case of either sending an engineer to repair a unit on site or arrange recovery and replacement of the unit.
The Service Coordinator will also be a contact point for the Engineers for any Technical queries and will be required to be able to converse at a technical level about Electrical and Mechanical systems with the team of Engineers.
