Job Description

This role will suit an experienced Product Owner who is able to manage the implementation of digital features that create an industry-leading customer experience by playing a key part in defining the priority and detail of functionality that will drive customer acquisition and retention, at an early and important stage of the business.

As a Product Owner your responsibilities will be to:

  • Manage the development of digital features from concept to launch.
  • Oversee the product roadmap, project dashboards, and prioritization to ensure efficient use of development time and maximum uplift in KPIs.
  • Represent business stakeholders throughout the development process by creating and championing stories that reflect business goals.
  • Work closely with the design and development team to implement new functionality quickly and efficiently.
  • Follow and evangelise Agile best practice.
  • Use performance data to understand the value and priority of prospective new features.
  • Gather requirements and effectively communicate those during the development cycle.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
To succeed as a Product Owner we ask that you have the following: Previous demonstrable experience as a product owner, digital business analyst or equivalent. Proven experience of working closely with development teams in an Agile environment, Agile or Scrum training and qualifications a bonus. Experience within e-commerce and retail, especially within a B2B or industrial supplies area. Strong analytical and technical aptitude, with SQL knowledge a bonus. Passion for digital and an awareness of best practices, trends and opportunities. Ability to think through complex business problems, solve them by analyzing data, and then communicate these in simple, straightforward manner. Strong problems solving skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Degree in numeric subject preferred (sciences, math, and engineering). Agile/Scrum Master training/qualification desirable but not required.
