Job Description

The person will supervise a team of 6 people in the Central European team based in Tamworth.
You will be responsible for managing the operations and to assist personally in the day to day running of the department.

To ensure all work is carried out in accordance with company operational procedures and statutory requirements
A part of the job will be support and do holiday cover for team members and be responsible for German import facilitation, key account operation, issue drivers paperwork and assist with invoice queries + other admin tasks and general customer services.

• Ensure service and profitability levels are developed/maintained in accordance with departmental targets.
• Ensure legislative compliance in all areas.
• Ensure that the company operates within all agreed operational procedures, and within statutory requirements including the provision and maintenance of a safe working environment.
• Motivate/guide subordinates to achieve targets and to work to its full potential.
• Impart knowledge, procedures and legal requirements to subordinates by coaching and training, as needed.
• Priorities key tasks and workload to achieve best results with available resources within the department.
• Ensure all relevant administrative procedures are followed and completed accurately according to deadlines.
• Answer all queries, complaints and solve operational problems as quickly and efficiently as possible.
• Identify and report to management on the department’s needs and requirements.
• Ensure company and customer requirements are fulfilled as per the Operational Manual and the client’s needs or requirements.
• Develop and maintain effective working relationships within the location in order to improve inter departmental knowledge and relationships.
• Identify, fulfil and review training and development needs of all subordinates within the department, through the formal appraisal process and on an ongoing basis.
