Provide first line support within the Oracles Systems Team.
Focus on delivering excellent customer service and experience
Focus on delivering to a target of 100% available service across the Oracle and Solaris systems and associated services
Ensure the delivery of IT services to MHR customers in line with Service Level Agreements and contracts
Provide operational support across all Oracle systems and services
Manage and maintain backups across dedicated backup appliances
Accurately record services and assets across all hardware and software systems
Support with the build and deployment of server architecture into data Centre’s in line with company standards and build procedures
Provide support at all defined maintenance weekends as required by the business
Participate in triage Rota for analyzing and allocating support requests to the correct technical areas
Ensure standard procedures are maintained and followed.
Contribute to the production of service improvement plans and ensure actions are completed
Undertake research as required attending appropriate events, feeding back to extend team knowledge
Partake in continual personal and professional development to stay up to date with the technology in the field

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
What we are looking for: Great customer service skills. A passion for learning new things. A positive approach to Problem Solving. Good Time management, prioritization & organizational skills. Great Communication Skills. 1 - 2 year’s experience in a general IT support environment. Some previous exposure to Oracle / Solaris Systems or similar. Some exposure to Bash or SQL. Previous exposure to basic Networking. Someone who is eager to learn and develop, has a can-do attitude and displays a positive attitude to challenges.
