Job Description

You are responsible for managing the ecommerce team. Working with the Marketing, Design and Purchasing teams, you will ensure websites & marketplaces are operating at their full sales potential. You will also support the customer services and warehousing teams to ensure the complete ecommerce business is operating in harmony for our customers.

For this role, duties would include:

  • Managing and maintaining listings within online market places
  • Development and management of online marketing campaigns
  • Building and maintaining strong business relationships with Amazon and Ebay account managers
  • Managing a portfolio of 100's of products with a focus on content and pricing
  • Optimize product listings based on audience understanding and relevant keywords
  • Regularly reviewing competitors within individual channels and identifying trends
  • Identifying sales opportunities and ways to increase sales
  • Defining and executing an innovative, marketplace strategy to build revenues and profits
  • Using channel analysis and insight to improve marketplace performance and drive sales.
  • Ensure all marketplace metrics and regulation are adhered to.
  • Managing and optimizing Amazon ppc and eBay sponsored product campaigns.
  • Creating high converting listings for new products as well as optimizing existing ones.
  • Ensuring that our third party ERP system is kept up to date.
  • Sourcing and implementing new software to improve business processes.
  • Identify and launch new sales channels.
  • Work closely with Customer Service to identify customer experience issues and work across the business to resolve these
  • Ability to read, understand and produce channel performance reports and recommend actions based on this data
  • Daily management of the ecommerce team. You will be expected to lead by example, actively involved in merchandising, implementing onsite campaigns, and managing feature developments.
  • Analyzing the onsite customer journey, identifying trends such as highly converting pages, bounce rates and problem exit points then work with ecommerce team to implement fixes to continuously develop websites with a focus on increasing conversions and improving the user experience.
  • Ensuring that sites are at all times updated with scalability and adaptability in mind. Future proofing catalogue setup for international expansion and the business needs.
  • Liaising with other departments to ensure the online business works in synergy with other areas of the business, helping to maximize opportunities across all channels.
  • Managing and developing the ecommerce team and working with wider teams to drive our online business forward throughout UK and Europe.
  • Monthly health checks for all listings
  • Quarterly growth plans for all listings

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
As Ecommerce Manager we need you to have: Minimum of 2 year’s experience working with Ebay and Amazon in a professional environment. A passion for driving sales through Marketplace and Trading. A proven record of achieving sales metrics, budget and conversion improvements. Experience of leading a team. To be forward thinking and ability to embrace and drive change. Data Analysis experience and knowledge. Proven experience in driving traffic and growing online sales. Strong commercial awareness and technically minded. Proactive problem solving ability. Excellent awareness and understanding of website development, website design, usability, SEO and reporting. Excellent market awareness and analytical skills. Strong commercial acumen.. Accountable by nature with the desire to make an impact. Keen to take ownership in a role with confidence and enthusiasm. Strong portfolio clearly demonstrating an ability to approach different. projects from the brands perspective keeping within their core values and design. Positive and inspiring manager, team player and a confident communicator. Education: GCSE or equivalent (Preferred). Experience: Marketing: 2 years (Preferred).
