Job Description
Main Responsibilities
- To assist the Business Services Skill Group in providing an efficient and effective service to the firm's clients.
- To manage a portfolio of bookkeeping clients.
- To prepare quarterly and monthly VAT returns.
- To undertake client engagement using the appropriate cloud software.
- To undertake client engagements where so directed ensuring quality and accuracy.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Ensure that technical skills are maintained at all times and appropriate communications are drafted and issued on approval to update partners and relevant staff of key updates.
- Demonstrate strong bookkeeping skills across a variety of sectors and client types in order to ensure workloads are manageable within the Skill Group.
- Keep engagement partners and / or managers adequately informed of progress on engagements.
- Contribute where relevant to technical and other discussions with clients and others.
- Ensure completion of relevant file schedules including budget variances.
- Ensure all relevant deadlines are met.
- Provides support and learning for more junior members of the team, as appropriate.
