Job Description

A day in the life of a Account Manager.

You walk through the door and you are greeted by the digital director whom you have met before during interview that you report to.

You look around and as with most digital agencies the red phone box in the middle of the office adds some colour and vibrancy.

You meet the 15 people in the project team that look after the project you are joining of which 3 are Account Managers.

You sit down and you get to work.

Time to start scoping out the projects for the retained client that the business won during lockdown who will have an ongoing requirement to reproduce and rebuild their 5 product verticals across web and mobile.

As you are comfortable with the mapping and scoping of projects individually front start to finish, you are given the time learn the intricacies of the industry and what the client is trying to achieve.

The frontend website, mobile and CMS offering which is to be rebuilt will need timescales and processes built in so that you can fully appreciate the workload and what is required from the wider team.

The next task is to look at what has been done so far and refine the product backlog and what that looks like against your understanding of the project.

With the core hour from 9 - 4 you have found the day has passed you by and left you with something to think about for tomorrow.

But tomorrow isn't in the office so you take your laptop home because the business has doubled in size of the last 6 months and has now changed their working way and work from home is now possible 2-3 days a week. Good to be agile when you need to be.
